Your website is more than just an online presence—it’s your digital storefront and the first impression many customers will have of your brand. Creating well-structured, informative pages helps you communicate your story, showcase your offerings, and guide visitors to take action.
With Hike’s custom page feature, you can easily build and design pages that align with your brand identity, without needing advanced technical or design skills.
Your website is probably your customers’ first stop in getting to know you, so it is important to relay all the essential information in a way that builds trust and credibility. What you present and how you present it will impact your bottom line.
This section lets you add new custom pages and customise them as per your brand.
Add Page:
Step 1: In the top right corner, you will be able to see the Add button. You can add a page from there.
Step 2: Click on the Add page button, the system will prompt a popup where you can add details for the custom page like Title, Meta Description, and Slug.
Title: Identifies what the webpage is about for both web users and search engines.
Meta description: They help search engines understand the content on a page.
Slug: A URL slug refers to the end part of a URL after the backslash (“/”) that identifies the specific page or post.
Step 3: You create your custom page by adding all the details and clicking on the Save button.
As suggested earlier, you can design your own custom page as per your demand.
Note: You cannot modify existing Hike pages provided within Theme from this section.
Design a Custom Page:
Hike provides you with an inbuilt webpage editor; it is a powerful and easy to use editor; a person with little design knowledge will be able to design a page from scratch. You can design the webpage just by drag and drop the element you wish to add to your custom page.
Let us take a look at how to edit a custom page:
Step 1: Click on the Edit button to edit your custom page.
Now you are in the built-in webpage editor:
Here we have various tools, elements, and their settings; let us discuss them in detail.
We can use the various elements provided above to design the webpage.
In the above section, you can manage the layers of the elements; you can hide any elements you wish or drag and drop in any of the components easily.
In the above section, you can add the ID and Title for an separate element.
In the above section, you can decorate any of the elements in your custom page.
You can set the alignment, font color, background, foreground, height, width, margin, padding, font family, text decoration like text font family text shadow, and much more.
You can also design your custom page and make it responsive for other devices like mobile phones, tablets, and the Web (PC, Mac).
You can switch to a view from the above section and design it according, and we have a preview button you can check the changes on the go.
Once you have edited your custom page, you may save the changes by clicking the save button.
Note: Once you have created and edited a custom page, it will not be directly displayed on your website. You have to add it to one of the menus in the Navigation section.
