FAQ on Integration with Shopify - Sales

Hike allows you to set up the integration with Shopify. Regarding how to set it up, please refer to How to Integrate Shopify with Hike. In this article, we are trying to answer some of the questions frequently asked about sales syncing with Shopify.

Will the sales orders sync in both ways?

The sales orders made in Hike will NOT sync to Shopify, but the stock levels of the products in the sales orders will be updated in both Hike and Shopify to reflect the correct inventory levels. The sales orders placed in Shopify will sync to Hike and it will also update product stock levels in Hike.

Will the fulfillment and payment status sync to Hike?

Yes. Please refer to the table below for the corresponding status.

Will the payment type sync?

Shopify → Hike: The payment type that you choose in Shopify will not sync to Hike, all the payment types made in Shopify will be labeled as Shopify in Hike, as shown in the image below.

Hike → Shopify: The payment type that you choose in Hike will not sync to Shopify, all the payments received in Hike will be labeled as “Paid by customer” in Shopify.

Will the historical sales orders sync?

Historical sales from Shopify to Hike will NOT sync automatically, but you can manually sync them. You can perform manual syncing by following the instructions here.

Please note: This action will deduct the stock levels of the products in Hike if you have the option "Update inventory in Hike when an order is created in Shopify" ticked in the integration settings.

Why does my order from Shopify show the customer as a “Cash Sale”?

Orders that are placed in Shopify without a customer assigned to them will be recorded as an order under the customer's name “Cash Sale”.

Which user will be shown in the sale synced from Shopify?

Shopify orders synced to Hike will be recorded by the super admin (the account holder user of your Hike store) in Hike. All the operations synced from Shopify will be shown as performed by the super admin as well.
