POS Layout

The POS Layout settings allow you to customize how the Point of Sale (POS) screen appears, helping you optimize the workspace based on your store's workflow and screen size.

To access these settings:

Point of Sale → POS Layout

From here, you can choose a Layout Style and a POS Navigation Design.

Choose a Layout Style

Select the layout that best suits the way you use your POS.

1. Default Layout

This is the standard POS layout provided by Hike.

Best for: Users who prefer the familiar POS interface without any layout changes.

What you'll see:
  1. Standard product and category display
  2. Default navigation menu
  3. Shopping cart visible on the POS screen
2. Collapsed Menu for a Wider Product Area

This layout collapses the left-side navigation menu, giving more space to your products and categories.

  3. Easier product browsing and searching
Best for:
  1. Touchscreen devices
  2. Stores with image-based products

3. Smaller Thumbnails With More Products Per Row

This layout keeps the navigation menu expanded while displaying smaller product thumbnails, allowing more products to fit on the screen.

  3. Easier browsing for stores with large product catalogs
Best for:
  1. Retailers with many products
  2. Users who want to view more items simultaneously
4. Full-Width Products With a Cart You Open When Needed

This layout hides the shopping cart during product selection, maximizing the available space for products and categories.

When you're ready to complete the sale:
  1. Select the products you want to sell.
  2. Click Pay.
  3. The shopping cart will slide down from the top, allowing you to review the sale before processing the payment.

  1. Maximum screen space for products
  2. Larger product browsing area
  3. Cleaner POS interface
Best for:
  1. Smaller screens
  2. Stores with extensive product catalogs

Choose POS Navigation Design

In addition to the layout style, you can also choose how the POS navigation behaves.

1. Default

Uses Hike's standard POS navigation.

Best for: Most users who prefer the default navigation experience.

2. Custom

The Custom option lets you personalize your POS navigation by creating your own Quick Sale layout.
