Adding products
- Simple products: Yes, in both ways.
- Products with variants: Yes, in both ways.
- Composite products: No. As composite products can only be applied through 3rd-party plugins in Shopify and Shopify doesn’t sync data generated by 3rd-party plugins due to API limitations, composite products can’t sync between Hike and Shopify.
Editing products
Yes, most of the information that is edited will sync with Shopify. Some fields (attributes) that are assigned to the product cannot sync. Please refer to What product attributes will sync? for further information.
Deleting products
No, deleting products in Hike or Shopify will NOT trigger the deleting operation to be performed on the other platform. If you would like to delete a product from both Hike and Shopify, you need to manually perform the deletion in Hike and Shopify separately.
How can I only sync some of the products?
Hike → Shopify: You can keep the box “Ecommerce” unchecked, as shown in the image below if you don’t want a product to sync to Shopify.

Shopify → Hike: After you start syncing products from Shopify to Hike, it will sync all the existing products in Shopify. You are unable to choose some of the products only. A possible workaround is to manually delete the product in Hike after syncing, as the action of deleting products in Hike will not affect the products in Shopify.
We recommend managing all the products in Hike. If you would like only some of the products to sync to Shopify, uncheck “Ecommerce” in the Hike product editing page for the non-syncing ones. If you would like some products to not be available for sale in Hike, change the product status to inactive, as shown in the image below.

Why did only some of my products sync?
Hike → Shopify: There could be two possible reasons.
Reason 1: If you haven’t checked the box “Ecommerce” on the product editing page, as shown in the image below, then the product won’t sync to Shopify. Hike will only sync the products with “Ecommerce” checked to Shopify.

Reason 2: If you haven’t checked the box “Send new products in Hike to Shopify” in the sync setting page, as shown in the image below, then the new products won’t sync to Shopify.

Why aren’t the stock levels of a product matching in Hike and Shopify?
Reason 1: This can happen when you have ticked the option "Send full Shopify order to Hike and save in Hike's sales history".

If you manually update the stock levels in Shopify, as shown in the images below, or use any Shopify 3rd-party plugins to update the stock levels, the inventory in Hike will not get updated, which can lead to the difference.
