For a breakdown of what happens when you connect, read on, you’re in the right place.
The below table helps explain what happens between Xero and Hike when they talk to each other, what data gets shared, and under which circumstances it happens.
Integration Frequency |
End of Shift when closing register Note Xero only allows up to 50 transactions per minute and up to 5,000 transactions per day. |
Customer | Hike requires first name & last name, Xero requires first name & last name & company & email address ensure these details are in Hike, otherwise, will not sync all details from Hike to Xero |
Item (Product/Inventory) | Hike does not sync product listing or inventory with Xero |
Invoice (Sales) |
Auto Sync (Two Way) when close register. Full Sales sync as at transaction. Partial sales sync as at date transaction. To keep your register closures balanced, Parked sales are reported in parts each time you make a payment. This means that the sale total may be spread across multiple register closure periods. Void Sale does not sync. If you void a sale in Hike, does not report back to Xero. Need to manually go into Xero and change the report for any past sales. |
Supplier |
Hike requires a company name and first name. Ensure these details are in Hike, otherwise, will not sync all details from Hike to Xero. |
Purchase order | You can create and send a Purchase Order to suppliers in Hike, but each order will not be reported to Xero until the Purchase Order is marked as received in Hike. This will be dated as of date received (not when invoice created). Note Supplier details must be correctly listed to sync. |
General rule to delete item | Delete from Hike, then delete from Xero |
