Why Doesn't My Epson TM-T82 Work Via USB?

Reason

If you have tried a printing test and nothing has been printed, the most likely reason is that you haven't set up the interface properly.

Solution

Please first ensure that you have installed the latest driver for your computer, and then follow either of the two lists of steps based on which model you are using.

TM-T82II

  1. Step 1: Enter mode selection.
    1. Power off the unit. Hold the Feed button and then turning the unit on again. The printer will do the self-testing.
    2. From here, hold the Feed button for a full second (recommend longer to ensure correct selection) to enter Mode Selection.
  2. Step 2: Set up the interface.
    1. Press the Feed button 3 times in quick succession before pressing and holding it again for a full second to enter Customize Value Settings.
    2. Press the Feed button 10 times in quick succession before pressing and holding it again to enter USB Interface Settings.
    3. Press the Feed button once before pressing and holding it full a full second to enter Class settings.
    4. Press the Feed button twice in quick succession before pressing and holding to set the unit to Printer Class. The printout should confirm the selection change.
