User Report - Timecards

User Report - Timecards

If you are not the only person to run the business, you may need to keep track of your employees' working hours by features like timesheets.

The feature of clocking in/out in Hike allows your employees to clock in/out with their PIN and calculates their total working hours accordingly. This feature is available in Hike One Store & Multi-store plans. This article will explain mainly:
  1. How to clock in/out as a user
  2. How to run reports on the working hours of staff

How to clock in/out as a user

When logging in, you can click on the clock icon on top right if you are using Hike with Chrome.

If you are using a tablet, click on the menu button on top left, and you will get the "clock in out" button in the menu that slides out.

Though the path to visit the "clock in/out" menu is different when you are using a tablet, compared with using it with Chrome. The following pages in Chrome and the iOS/Android app look similar. We will use the screenshots taken in Chrome for further explanation.

You will get the employee list with clock in or clock out button as shown below.

Click on the "clock in" button under your name, and Hike will ask you to enter the 4-digit PIN of yourself.

Hike will clock you in, once your PIN is verified as correct.

For clocked in users, Hike will show a green dot on the user profiles. So you can easily tell whether you have clocked in.

As you might have noticed, the employee list also shows all users in your organisation with their current clock in/out status. Therefore, you can easily check who’s currently in and when they started. It also helps your employees know who else is in at the moment in case if they need to reach out.

To clock out, the process is similar, except that you will need to click on the "clock out" button, instead of "clock in".

Note: Logging in/out from Hike will not clock in/out for you. You have to clock in/out with the steps explained above.

How to run reports on the working hours of staff

You can review your employees' logged hours by navigating to Reporting > Users. You may need the information to calculate their pay.

Report by user

The total hours are automatically calculated based on the time users clocked in and out. You can check the report on different time range by selecting the dates and also export it if required.

Admin and Manager users can edit the clock in/out time. This is helpful if your staff clock in/out at the wrong time. You can edit user permissions to manage who can update the timesheets. The permission to edit the time card is “update/change user’s time card entry”. Regarding how to edit user permissions, please check Adding, Editing & Switching User IDs & Permissions in Hike

How to edit timesheets

To correct the clock in/out time, simply click on the name of the staff for whom changes will be made and then click on edit button to edit it.

A window will slide out, in which you can make changes. Don’t forget to save changes after editing it. You can also put a note for future reference.

On the same page, you will also be able to see the audit log about who made the change and what the change was.

Report by date

In this tab, you can check the timecard by date along with clock in/out time. You can check the report on different time range by selecting the dates and also export it if required.
