Major Activity Log Report

To provide more transparency of how different users are using a Hike store and the ability of auditing, Hike provides the report on user activities. The major changes a user made in your Hike store can be checked under Reporting > Users > Major Activity Log.


The following actions will be recorded in the report.
  1. Point-of-sale-related
    1. Open or close a register
    2. Refund a sale
    3. Void a sale
    4. Delete a payment
  2. Product-related
    1. Manually change the product stock on the product page
    2. Delete product or a product type.
  3. Customer-related
    1. Manually issue store credits
    2. Change the account limit of a customer
  4. User-related
    1. Add a user
    2. Delete a user
    3. Edit user permission
  5. Integration-related
    1. Change integration settings
    2. Remove an integration
  6. Setup-related
    1. Change tax rate
    2. Purge data
  7. Purchase Order
    The logs are available when you create, update, and delete a Purchase order.
  8. Stock-transfer
    The logs are available when you create, update, and delete a stock-transfer.
  9. Stock-take/Inventory count
    The logs are available when you create, update, and delete a stock-counts/Inventory counts.
  10. Logs for email when the report is sent to the user via Email. Ex. When you download the sales report and if the data is more, it will be sent by email to your user email. This email log will record here on the activity log.
For example, if A user has deleted any product, you will be able to see deleted product details along with it's delete date and time as described below in the screenshot:




Here's the explanation of each column in the report.
  1. Time
    When the action was performed
  1. User name
    Who performed the action
  1. Activity
    The action type, like listed above
  1. IP address
    The IP address of the device used to perform the action
  1. Device name (If available)
    Under development for now
  1. Browser
    The browser and the version used to perform the action
