In retail business sometimes there is a need to charge customer on their card/integrated payment type and give out the cash amount from the register.
To make this possible, you will need to follow below steps on PC and iPad.
Please note this is a manual work-around process to reconcile your cash/card payments.
- Create a new non-inventory product > name it as Cashout > Please keep $0 Retail Ex vat and cost price and inventory tracking should be OFF.
- At the time of an actual sale, add this product to the sale - Change
the price equaling to the Cashout amount. You can then click on Pay
> Card(Integrated payment type) and charge the customer for the
Cashout.
- To record the Cashout, you would then go to Hike Cash register and then remove the amount that you have given out as a Cashout.
