Hike eCommerce : Shipping Packages
A package is the quantity of goods to be shipped. The goods are not transported individually but are bundled together on a pallet to form a unit. These can be different sizes and shape boxes based on the products you are shipping.
Hike allows you to create different types of packages for shipping.
Online Store >> Packaging >> Shipping packages
When you click on the Add Package option on this page, you will get a slider where you can add dimensions and weight limit for the package.
Please add the dimensions of your package on this page.
This includes title and both inner and outer high, width and length of the package.
Based on the products you sell online, you can create multiple packaging options here.
For example: If you sell and ship TV and refrigerators, the shipping packages for both the products would be different. The package for TV will be smaller in dimension compared to the package for refrigerator. In this case you will be creating two different packages here for cater both types of products.
You have to add dimension as well as weight in order Hike to select a suitable package from different packages.
The dimensions of each products are added on the Product page as per below screenshot.
Based on these dimensions of the product, the system will automatically calculate the correct package for this product.
These product dimensions are important, and without these dimensions, the system will not be able to identify the correct package for shipping.
