Setting Up Your Star TSP143 LAN Receipt Printer for iPad

Setting Up Your Star TSP143 LAN Receipt Printer for iPad or Android tablet

The key is to have your receipt printer and your iPad or Android tablet connected to the same internet network. So when you record a sale in your Hike app, your printer automatically prints a receipt.

Turn off the printer and plug its network cable into one of the numbered network ports on your router.

Turn your STAR TSP143 LAN printer on and wait for the Ready light to show solid green (not flashing)

In Hike app, click on settings icon appearing on top right corner within your navigation bar and click on find printers.

Search result will show your printer as STAR TSP143 LAN. Click on it to pair it with your HikePOS Register.

If your printer is still not showing up in Hike Register as available printers, then it is highly likely that your tablet and your printer are not connected to the same network. To fix this, follow these additional steps:

  1. On your tablet go to Settings > Wi-Fi
  2. At the top, you’ll see a checkmark next to the connected Wi-Fi network
  3. If this network is different to the router your printer is connected to, tap the blue “i” on the same line as that network
  4. Tap Forget This Network

Now connect to the correct network and open HikePOS

Go to HikePOS app and repeat the above step from 1 to 4
