Quick Price & Quantity Pop-up for $0 Priced Products

This support article explains how to set up a feature where zero-priced products at checkout will give you the option to add price and quantity before the sale.

This is requested by the users when the products usually do not have predefined price, size, or colors. Most items are saved with $0 price, and price and quantity are entered at the time of sale.

This feature will allow you to create a placeholder product with a $0 retail price. When a product is created with $0 sales value, it will give a pop-up to add a price during the sale. Thus, you can create dynamic-priced products.

Let's see how we can set this up.

Go to the Store set-up in the Hike store >> Now, select General settings.

You will find the option "Prompt to enter a sale price for products with $0 retail price during sale"

Please select the option and make sure you save the changes on the General settings page.

Once done, please process a Refresh data on your PC or a Data sync on your iPad.

On your PC/Mac, go to Point of Sale > Cash Register and you will see REFRESH DATA. Click on this to re-load the data from Hike on your browser.

On your iPad/Android tablet, from the expanded menu, click Settings, choose General, and click on Data Sync.

Now, when you add any zero-price product to the cart, a pop-up will appear on the POS page.

Here on this pop-up page, you will have the option to add the price and quantity of this product manually.

The quantity you enter here will be updated in the cart automatically for the product.
