How to Configure Lloyds Bank Cardnet – Clover with Hike

Hike provide an integration into Lloyds Bank Cardnet, a Payment Service Provider (PSP) operating in the UK. This guide will provide insight into connecting to the Clover Flex and Mini range of devices.

Configure Lloyds Bank Cardnet – Clover with PC (Web):

Please follow the step-by-step instructions below.

Important:
1. You will need to create an account with the Lloyds Bank Cardnet to access the Clover portal first, where you can log in with your username and password once these have been issued. Once logged in, you need to enable the Hike app within your Lloyds Bank Cardnet – Clover dashboard. The connection between Hike and Lloyds Bank Cardnet - 
Clover is based on an app ID, which is N2Z35VKZH44N6.

Your Hike device and Lloyds Bank Cardnet - Clover device must be connected to same internet source to work.

Firstly, log in your Hike account, go to Store Setup >> Payment Types >> Add Payment Type.




A new window will display, allowing you to add a new payment type.

Select Lloyds Bank Cardnet – Clover as your payment type and then click “Save". You can choose to apply the payment to all registers or a specific one. We also recommend that you name them differently if you use multiple Lloyds Bank Cardnet – Clover payment terminals/devices in your store.



Once the payment type has been created, you will see the configuration window open within the Payment Types list.



From here, please click on "Configuration required" for the Lloyds Bank Cardnet – Clover payment type, where a new window will open.



Click on Connect. The system will automatically display the Merchant ID of the device connected to the same network as Hike.



You will see that the Clover device has been configured and is ready to use for payments after the pairing successfully.




How to use the Lloyds Bank Cardnet - Clover payment device to process a sale with Hike.

Once the Lloyds Bank Cardnet - Clover payment type is configured, you will be able to see that option on the Payment page when making a sale.



Once Lloyds Bank Cardnet – Clover is selected, you will need to complete the payment on your device, either through swipe, tap or insert  options.

Once the payment is completed on the device, the sale will automatically update within Hike to show the payment status.

You will also find the receipt attached with Hike sale receipt at the end of the transaction, showing the outcome of the request, which can be provided to the customer.



Configure  Lloyds Bank Cardnet - Clover  with the Hike iPad application :

As per your region, the Lloyds Bank Cardnet – Clover payment type will be available on the Payment Types list within Hike’s iPad application.

The list is available under Settings > Payment types.


Click on Configure Now and a new window will appear to complete the



This page will ask you to enter Connection URL

These details can be found from your payment device. Please navigate to ‘Network Pay Display’.On the next page, you will find the details to be entered in Hike’s application.

 


Once the correct data from the device is added to the Configuration page, you will need to enter the pairing code for the device and the connection will show as 'Ready to use' within Hike.



You can use the toggle button to activate or deactivate the Lloyds Bank Cardnet - Clover payment type on an iPad  in line with your business requirements.

The payment type will be available on iPad when taking a payment.
