How to integrate Castles payment type with Hike

Hike integrates with Castles payment in UK at the moment. The device supported is Saturn1000.



Hike supports the Castles payment integration when used on PC and iPad.

Configure Castles with PC (web):


Please follow the step-by-step instructions below.

Important: You will need to download a bridge software on your PC to connect the Hike and Castles payment device. Here is the link to download the software.

Log in your Hike account,  go to Store setup >> Payment types >> add a new payment type.



A new window will slide out for adding a new payment type.

Here, select Castles as payment type > click “Save". You can choose to apply the payment to all registers or a specific one. We also recommend you to name them differently if you use multiple Castles terminals in your store.



Once above payment type is created, you will see the configuration window open on the Payment Types list.




Now, please click on "Configuration required" for the Castles payment type and a new window will open.

Please enter the IP address and Port of the payment device you are using.
You should have received the Server IP and Port details with the Device itself.



This information will be available from the Castles option on the device. Click on Castles, then click on Back arrow from the Home page and select Menu.



You will see an option called Command Service there.






Once you enter these details in Hike manually, please confirm the details and click on 'Configure'. Once the configuration is successful, you will see the Castles payment type available on Payment Type.



How to complete a sale using Castles Payment type.


Now, as the Castles payment type is ready to use, we will understand how to use this to take a payment for a Hike sale. As configured with Hike, the Castles payment option will be available on the Payment page with Cash, Card and other payment types. Let's check an example sale.




When you click on Castles option here, you will be able to the Payment amount on the Castles payment device.



Now, Tap, Insert or Swipe the card on the device as per Customer's choice and the payment will be recorded.


A customer receipt will be printed here from the device. The sale will be completed in Hike automatically.
A merchant copy will be printed with the Hike sales receipt at the end.

Configure Castles with Hike iPad application

When you complete your Castles payment set-up on your PC, you will need to process a Data sync on your iPad to see the Castles payment on your iPad.

On the iPad, you will find in the menu Settings >> General.

Click on the DATA SYNC button to refresh the data on your iPad.

Once done, the Castles will be available on your iPad payment type list as Ready to use.



You can use the Toggle button to activate or de-activate the Castles payment type on iPad as per your requirement.

The payment type will be available on iPad when completing a payment for the sale.
