Hike recommends using Google Chrome on Mac or PC for the best results; however, sometimes you may get stuck. The following steps should help get you going.
Note: We do not recommend using Google Chrome in Incognito mode. This may cause an issue when you use Hike in offline mode.

REFRESH HIKE

A refresh of data is required after any changes have been made to the back end of your Hike store. Performing the refresh means any changes made to Hike will then reflect on the POS page.

How to refresh data?

The first step, within Hike itself, is to REFRESH DATA on the PC/Mac, or DATA SYNC on your iPad/Android tablet.
On your PC/Mac, go to Point of Sale > Cash Register and you will see REFRESH DATA. Click on this to re-load the data from Hike on your browser.
On your iPad/Android tablet, from the expanded menu, click Settings, choose General, and click on Data Sync.

CLEAR BROWSING HISTORY

The next step, if required, is to clear your browser history*. To do so in Google Chrome involves the following steps:

  • On your PC/Mac, open Chrome.
  • At the top right, click the More button (3 dots) on the top right.
  • Click History and then History.
  • On the left, click Clear browsing data. A box will appear.
  • From the drop-down menu, select how much history you want to delete. To clear everything, select All Time.
  • Check the boxes for the info you want Chrome to clear, including “browsing history." You don’t have to clear passwords but must clear your browsing history.
  • Click Clear data to complete.
*Please note these instructions are taken from the Google Support website and may be subject to change. Please check with the Google Chrome help website if your screen differs from the above.
